NATURE OF WORK

 

You will supervise professional staff engaged in the preparation or review of plans, specifications and permit applications to determine conformance with Commonwealth laws and Department of Environmental Protection regulations; the development, design, review or construction of environmental projects; and the management of a statewide regulatory program including the development of environmental regulations, policies, procedures, standards and guidance documents with engineering components.

You must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  Pennsylvania residency is currently waived for this job title.

 

Condition of Employment

Certain positions in this job will require possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or the equivalent.

 

Necessary Special Requirement

Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the applicable licensing body of another state.

 

Post Employment Requirement

Successful candidates with an out of state Professional Engineer License will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer license issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period.

 

Minimum Requirements

Two years as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer; OR five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection or in environmental project development, design or construction.

TESTING

 

Your application will be evaluated to determine whether you meet the Minimum Requirements and Necessary Special Requirement.  If you meet these requirements, you will receive a score.  You must provide your license number and its expiration date in the “Licenses or Certificates” section of your Application for Employment/Promotion.  Failure to do so may delay the processing of your application, or result in disqualification.

 

If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your application.  A new application is required for a retest.

 

If your name is on an eligible list for this job title and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.

 

TEST RESULTS
