NATURE OF WORK

 

You will develop and coordinate the statewide emergency medical services systems (EMSS); manage program operations including licensure, data collection and analysis, regional planning, clinical education and emergency preparedness; and coordinate activities in program areas such as accreditation and certification of pre-hospital providers and facilities within 16 state regions.  Work also involves ongoing policy development, quality assurance, implementation and evaluation of regulations and policies, and provision of technical assistance and guidance.

Minimum Requirements

Two years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program, or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program; and a bachelorís degree in health policy and administration, economics, statistics, public or business administration, emergency medicine, nursing or a related medical field; OR three years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program, or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program; and an associate degree in health policy and administration, economics, statistics, public or business administration, emergency medicine, nursing or a related medical field; OR four years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program, or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program; and 30 credits in health policy and administration, economics, statistics, public or business administration, emergency medicine, nursing or a related medical field; OR five years of professional experience planning, developing, evaluating or operating an emergency medical services program, or providing EMS certified training or administering a college EMS training program.
