NATURE OF WORK
You will perform a variety of professional duties to ensure compliance with environmental statutes, rules and regulations. You will prepare documents for use in the prosecution of cases, conduct enforcement conferences and administrative hearings, and negotiate settlements of cases as well as penalties. You will assist both field and central office personnel in resolving technical problems, and provide them with training; and provide information to facility operators, municipal officials, consultants, and the public on Department of Environmental Protection programs, functions, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and environmental statutes.

You must be willing to travel. Travel expenses will be paid.
You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Necessary Special Requirement
You must have a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Requirements
One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist; OR an equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills and abilities.
Clarification of Requirements
You may substitute related education for the required experience. Unrelated education will not be accepted.
