NATURE OF WORK
You will plan and direct work for therapeutic and habilitative programs within a self-contained unit for individuals with developmental disabilities, some of whom may also have additional unrelated disabilities. You will direct and coordinate unit functions associated with 24 hour care and habilitation of individuals. You will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic and habilitative programs and program/clinical supportive services designed to meet the individuals' needs. You will interact and communicate with families and related community agencies such as the county Mental Health/Mental Retardation Programs.

Minimum Requirements
Three years of professional therapeutic experience in a residential program providing rehabilitative, restorative and/or habilitative care program services for individuals with developmental disabilities, 2 years of which must have involved supervisory or consultative work in providing habilitative care and program services for individuals with a developmental disability; and a bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, nursing, business or hospital administration; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 2 years supervisory or consultative experience in a residential program providing habilitative care program services for individuals with a developmental disability.
