NATURE OF WORK
You will direct intellectual disability community services operations for the Department of Public Welfare. You will organize and administer the community services within an assigned geographic area of the Commonwealth. Work involves providing leadership and direction to local government officials in the development, implementation, and administrative integration of community services to ensure compliance with established program policies and service standards; identify needs for community mental retardation services, develop plans to meet the identified needs, and evaluate overall program effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements
Four years of professional experience in the field of mental retardation, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, and a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Clarification of Requirements
There is no equivalency for the two years of supervisory experience in the field of mental retardation.
