NATURE OF WORK
You will conduct analytical management studies of systems and/or processes of diverse organizational work units ranging from small offices to large Statewide operations. You will also collect, organize, and analyze information pertaining to the design, organization, use and/or costs of buildings, offices, records, forms, materials, equipment, policies, and procedures. Based on the analysis, you may recommend improvements to existing management systems/processes or develop new management systems/processes. Work at the 2 level is more complex. Management Analyst Supervisors direct the work of Management Analysts 1 and 2.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
For some jobs, offers of employment will be made only if you are willing to travel. Travel expenses will be paid.
You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum Requirements
Management Analyst 1 - One year of experience as an Administration and Management Trainee performing technical management analysis work; OR 1 year of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Management Analyst 2 - One year of experience as a Management Analyst 1; OR 2 years of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Management Analyst Supervisor - One year of experience as a Management Analyst 2; OR 3 years of progressively responsible experience in technical management analysis work which included evaluating work methods, procedures or organizational structures, and a bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

These positions are located in several State agencies with the majority in the Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation, Labor and Industry, and Public Welfare, and the Liquor Control Board, and most are located in Harrisburg, Dauphin County.

TESTING
The test will be administered on a computer. Information about computerized testing is available online at www.scsc.state.pa.us OR in paper form at any State Civil Service Commission office.

The test will be administered in the Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh State Civil Service Commission offices, Monday through Friday.
The test also will be held approximately 10 days a month at additional test centers located in Allentown, Erie, Johnstown, Lock Haven, and Scranton. If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your test. You must submit a new application to be retested.
If your name is on an eligible list for these job titles and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will be notified in writing of your test results.
