NATURE OF WORK

 

You will perform professional level work planning, developing, and monitoring a drug and alcohol program for the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.  You will collect, organize, analyze, and present data for public and private drug or alcohol programs, and develop and recommend policies or standards to enhance the effectiveness of those programs.  You will develop or revise program regulations, guidelines, standards, and procedures, and review programs for compliance with State and Federal requirements.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

You will be tested before your qualifications are reviewed.  Your test results will count only if you meet all job requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Two years of professional experience in social service or human development programs including one year of program planning, developing, and monitoring experience of the same; and a bachelorís degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Drug and Alcohol Program Analysts are employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.  All positions are located in Harrisburg, Dauphin County.  The Department anticipates filling 3 vacancies in the next 12 months. 

 

Lists created by this test will be used to fill future vacancies as they occur due to retirements, promotions, transfers, resignations and so forth.

TESTING

 

The test will be administered on a computer.  Information about computerized testing is available online at www.scsc.state.pa.us OR in paper form at any State Civil Service Commission office. 

 

You will have a maximum of 2 1/2 hours to complete the test which will cover the following subject areas:

The test will be administered in the Harrisburg, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh State Civil Service Commission offices, Monday through Friday.

If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your test.  You must submit a new application to be retested.

 

If your name is on an eligible list for this job title and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.

 

If this announcement does not produce enough names for a specific area, another test may be announced for that area only.

 

TEST RESULTS
