NATURE OF WORK

 

This is professional and administrative planning work involving the development and review of emergency management and homeland security related plans and planning policies at the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.  You will develop statewide emergency management and homeland security related policies and procedures, review plans and procedures developed at the local, regional or state level, implement the policies and procedures to affected organizations and agencies, and ensure plans are in compliance with federal and state regulations.  Work also includes meeting with public officials, local and regional planning commission, and the public to encourage planning activity, render technical advice, and explain plans and policies.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

You must be willing to travel.  Travel expenses will be paid.

Minimum Requirements

Two years of professional emergency-related planning experience and a masterís degree in planning; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of professional emergency-related planning experience.
