NATURE OF WORK

 

You will repair various types of roofs; install flashing and rain spouts; construct, repair or fabricate metal furniture and equipment; and install or repair hot air heating systems.  You will be expected to work at the full Journey level, which may include interpreting blueprints/instructions for small projects and insuring these projects are completed according to specifications.

You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.

 

Minimum Requirements

Four years of experience in the sheet metal trades, or completion of an approved apprenticeship; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

 

Clarification of Requirements

You may substitute related education for the required experience.  Unrelated experience or education will not be accepted.  Any trades work you do for yourself, relatives or friends, even if paid work, is NOT qualifying experience.

Occasionally a few additional seasonal hires are made for short periods.

TESTING

 

You will be rated on your experience and training.  Your score will be based on information you report on your application and application supplement.

 

You must provide complete and accurate information.  Failure to do so may delay the processing of your application, or result in a lower-than-deserved score or disqualification.

 

If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your "Notice of Examination Results."  A new application and application supplement is required for a retest.

 

If your name is on an eligible list for this job title and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.

 

TEST RESULTS
