NATURE OF WORK
You will work for the Pennsylvania Game Commission performing skilled work in the propagation and care of game birds at state game farms. The work involves participating in breeding, hatching, raising, caring for and distributing large numbers of pheasants; and general construction, maintenance or repair of farm building and equipment. You will also serve as a lead worker for seasonal game farm laborers. Weekend work is required on a rotational basis.

You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Necessary Special Requirements
You must have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Minimum Requirements
Six months propagation experience working at a breeding facility that produces a minimum of 1,000 game birds, which includes skilled maintenance and trades work utilized in building construction and equipment maintenance and operation.

There are 26 filled positions located at the following game farms: Loyalsock Game Farm (Lycoming County), North Central Game Farm (Lycoming County), Southwest Game Farm (Armstrong County) and Western Game Farm (Crawford County). The Pennsylvania Game Commission anticipates filling 2 vacancies in their North Central Game Farm (Lycoming County).

TESTING
You will be rated on your experience and training. Your score will be based on information you report on your application and application supplement.
You must provide complete and accurate information. Failure to do so may delay the processing of your application, or result in a lower-than-deserved score or disqualification.
If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your “Notice of Examination Results.” A new application and application supplement are required for a retest.
If your name is on an eligible list for this job title and you take this test, your most recent examination result will be the only one counted.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will be notified in writing of your test results.
