NATURE OF WORK
You will develop skills in life forecasting of utility plants. You will participate in an intensive on-the-job training program in the study and review of public utility laws, rules, regulations, economics, industry fundamentals, valuation engineering, trending indices, and methods of depreciation. During the training program you may participate in on-site inspections of utility properties and also assist in the case preparation of interrogatories and staff exhibits. Learning assignments are specific in nature and are closely reviewed in progress and upon completion for accuracy and adherence to valuation engineering standards.

You must be willing to travel. Travel expenses will be paid.
You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum Requirements
A bachelor's degree with major coursework in valuation engineering or other engineering discipline related to public or private utility generation, collection and distribution systems OR the possession of an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Board of Professional Engineers and four years of related engineering experience with a public utility regulatory agency.
Clarification of Requirements
If you are studying toward an appropriate engineering degree and in your final year of study, you may apply. You must submit a listing of the courses/credits that you expect to complete prior to graduation. Proof of graduation will be required at the time of hire. A degree in such fields as civil, sanitary, petroleum, electrical, natural gas, industrial, mining or mechanical engineering; engineering science; or engineering design and economic evaluation are "related" engineering majors.

If you are found ineligible and subsequently obtain proof of your credentials, you may resubmit an application with the qualifying information at any time. A new application is required.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will be notified in writing of your test results.
