Job Locations

·         All positions in Public Utility Commission (PUC), Dauphin County

·         Employment and promotion lists will be established and may be used to fill future vacancies

·         Normal turnover may create additional job openings

Type of Work

·         Full-time employment

·         Must be willing to travel.  Travel expenses will be paid

·         Must successfully complete on-the-job training program

Job Duties

·         Develop skills in life forecasting of utility plants

·         Must participate in intensive OJT training program

·         Study and review public utility laws, rules, regulations, valuation engineering, and other industry fundamentals

·         During training participate in on-site inspections of utility properties

·         Learning assignments adhere to valuation engineering standards

Qualifications

·         Must meet PA residency requirement

·         You may take the test if you have completed 90 or more credit hours and expect to receive an appropriate bachelor’s degree within the next 7 months

·         Must be able to perform essential job functions

Examination Information

·         Score based on information reported on application and application supplement

·         Provide complete and accurate information or:

o    score may be lower than deserved

o    application processing may be delayed

o    disqualification may result

·         If found ineligible, you may resubmit application at any time with qualifying information (new application required)

·         Written notice of test results provided

·         Only most recent exam score counted

·         Testing may be announced for a specific area if needed
