JOB OPPORTUNITIES

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER

Most of these jobs are in remote places that are hard to reach except by car.  The state cannot provide you with transportation from your home to the job.  Be sure to make yourself available only for the job locations (counties) you can get to every day on your own.

Seasonal Jobs

Each year, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources fills about 120 seasonal jobs.  These jobs are at state parks and forest district offices in rural areas throughout the state.  Seasonal work normally begins between March 1st and June 30th and lasts through September or early October.  If you are hired in a seasonal job, you will be paid only for the hours you actually work.  You will not receive other benefits.

Permanent Jobs

Each year, the Pennsylvania Departments of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Human Services fill a few permanent jobs.  These jobs are often filled by workers who were previously hired for seasonal jobs.  If you are hired in a permanent job, you will receive holiday and vacation pay and other benefits.

There are no current positions or expected future job openings in Philadelphia County.
