NATURE OF WORK
You will consult with state, county, private, and community-based programs and facilities in the fields of mental health and substance abuse; developmental disabilities; juvenile justice; autism; children, youth and families; child development and early learning to improve operations and regulatory compliance. You will ensure that program services are implemented in compliance with state standards, departmental rules and regulations, and legal requirements. You will conduct site visits to review human services program operations through the review and analysis of reports, records and information on program services and supports provided to individuals and their families. You will respond to consumer and family inquiries, complaints, and concerns, and investigate incident reports. You will work within an assigned geographical region. You will also prepare reports, conduct research, and analyze and interpret data. Human Services Program Representatives 2 will supervise the analysis and evaluation of human services provider operations such as case management and family support services.

Minimum Requirements
Human Services Program Representative 1
Three years of professional experience in human services program development performing program cost projections; program planning; program evaluation; case management services; or program monitoring/quality assurance activities including one year in an administrative or advisory capacity; and a bachelor’s degree; OR an equivalent combination of professional experience and training, which includes 1 year in an administrative or advisory capacity in human services program development performing program cost projections; program planning; program evaluation; case management services; or program monitoring/quality assurance activities.
Human Services Program Representative 2
One year as a Human Services Program Representative 1; OR 4 years of professional experience in human services program development performing program cost projections; program planning; program evaluation; case management services; or program monitoring/quality assurance activities, including 2 years in an administrative or advisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of professional experience and training, including 2 years in an administrative or advisory capacity in human services program development performing program cost projections; program planning; program evaluation; case management services; or program monitoring/quality assurance activities.

These positions are located in Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare offices throughout the state. Approximately 30% of the positions are located in Dauphin County. Approximately 10-15 hires are made annually.

TESTING
You will be rated on your experience and training. Your score will be based on information you report on your application and application supplement.
You must provide complete and accurate information. Failure to do so may delay the processing of your application, or result in a lower-than-deserved score or disqualification.
If you take the test and want to take it again, you may be retested after 6 months from the date of your application. A new application and application supplement are required for a retest.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will be notified in writing of your test results.
