 NATURE OF WORK

You will review, analyze, and approve insurance claims submitted by a contracted Third Party Administrator for the payment of insurance claims. You will identify and research claim issues and provide recommendations to the Claims Manager for resolution.  Work may also involve contacting the claimant, third party claim administrator staff, attorneys, service providers, or other individuals to collect or provide information regarding the status of a claim.

Claims handled at this level are relatively high in value, may result in litigation, and are more complex in nature.

Please make sure you meet all requirements.  If after reading the requirements you are not sure you qualify, contact the Commission's offices at (717) 787-1795.

You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.

Minimum Requirements

One year of experience as an Insurance Claims Evaluator 1; OR 2 years of experience in the evaluation and payment of claims in multiple lines of insurance, and a bachelor’s degree; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Evaluation and payment of claims experience in any one type of insurance listed above is also qualifying if you show experience dealing with both first and third party claims.
