EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
There is currently one full-time vacant position. The list resulting from this examination will be used to fill this vacancy and to meet future needs as they occur.
As a Health Facility Plan Reviewer you will be responsible for the review and approval of building plans, blueprints and specifications for hospitals, nursing homes, ICF’s, ambulatory surgical facilities, birthing centers, end stage renal disease facilities and other medical facilities pertaining to construction, alterations, renovations, and use of health care facilities for compliance with Life Safety Code, hospital and ambulatory surgical facility state licensure regulations, Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities/The Facility Guidelines Institute, Long Term Care Facilities Licensure Regulations, birthing center regulations, Hospice Centers and Pediatric Extended Care Center Regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
You will be tested after your qualifications are reviewed. If after reading the requirements you are not sure you qualify, contact one of the Commission's offices listed at the end of this announcement.
You must be willing to travel. Travel expenses will be paid.
You must be a Pennsylvania resident, of good moral character and able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Minimum Requirements
Six years of construction, design or design review experience in building structures and their component parts, including reading and interpreting building plans, and blueprints and federal and state construction standards pertaining to patient habitation and fire safety; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Clarification of Requirements
You may substitute related education for the required experience. Unrelated experience or education will not be accepted.
TESTING
The test will be administered on a computer. Information about computerized testing is available online at www.scsc.state.pa.us OR in paper form at any State Civil Service Commission Office. You will have a maximum of 3 hours to complete the test.

Testing will be held in the Civil Service Commission’s Daily Test Center located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at 320 Market Street, Strawberry Square Complex as soon as possible after this announcement closes for application.
You may take the test once under this announcement. You may not reapply until another examination is announced.
TEST RESULTS
Employment and promotion lists will be established. You will receive a written notice of your test score.
