Teacher Information Management System (TIMS) Revised Application Submission
The new Teacher Information Management System (TIMS) is now operational and all applications must be entered into TIMS. We will no longer request or accept complete paper applications.
You must remember that some evidence must be submitted on paper. Please see below for more information on submission of evidence. Some requirements must be scanned and attached or mailed in as paper documents.

Applying for Educator Certification through the New Teacher Information Management System (TIMS):
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is requiring all applications for credentials be completed and submitted through the new Teacher Information Management System (TIMS).

We will no longer accept complete paper applications. It is important to remember that there will be supplemental submissions that must be uploaded or mailed to PDE. The requirements vary for each application type so please carefully review the required items listed on the “Review Summary Tab” and on the coversheet you print from TIMS after you hit the “Submit” button.
The rules for certification have not changed, only the way that you submit your application. It is strongly suggested that candidates review the following documents before entering your application into TIMS:
- Review the application booklets currently available with the paper applications to verify the certification requirements and credentials available before starting the application process in TIMS.
