Deputy Secretary for Securities
As Deputy Secretary for Securities, Aimee Toth oversees the administration and all operations related to the regulation of the securities industry in Pennsylvania. This is a new position within the PA Department of Banking and Securities, an executive agency created by the merger of the PA Securities Commission into the PA Department of Banking in October 2012.
Prior to joining the department, she served as the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel for Allegheny Financial Group/Allegheny Investments, Ltd. In one such case where promoters sold bogus investments in timeshares in the Yucatan peninsula, Aimee played a key role in recovering $5.7 million for Pennsylvania residents. The Yucatan case also resulted in injunctive relieve in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. Previously she served as General Counsel for a family-owned construction firm and CEO of Apparel Manufacturing Companies. She served in a private legal practice after public service as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
