The Department of Banking is consistently looking for hard-working people to help achieve its mission. We currently employ nearly 200 people in a wide variety of administrative, management, clerical, and technical positions.
The largest component of our staff – our financial institution examiners – is located throughout Pennsylvania. They typically are headquartered from their homes and spend much of their time in the field reviewing documents and records to ensure compliance with Pennsylvania laws and regulations.
If you have a college degree, like to travel and enjoy the flexibility of making your own schedule, then a career with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking may be just what you’re looking for.
All applications must be submitted to the Pennsylvania State Civil Service Commission. If accepted, you’ll be required to take a test. The score will determine your placement in a pool of eligible applicants.
