General Information

Act 1984-195 and 28 Pa. Code 1.49 provide access by adoptees to the identification of consenting biological parents.

The Department of Public Welfare operates the Pennsylvania Adoption Information Registry (PAIR) that enables birth parents to share their family medical history with the child they placed for adoption.
