Out of State or Transcript Review Required Fee
 
$160 non-refundable fee for all in-state graduate applicants prepared over 7 years ago through a Pennsylvania college.
 
If you completed your teacher educator training from a Pennsylvania college, university or other provider more than 7 years ago, check with your institution to see if they are able to recommend you.  If they are not able to recommend you, then a transcript review is required and the $160 fee is charged.
 
$160 non-refundable fee for all applicants prepared by a college/university outside of Pennsylvania.
 
The $160 fee must be paid with each application in the following two circumstances:  (1) an application received from a graduate of a teacher education program at a college/university outside of Pennsylvania or (2) an application received from an educator certified by another state.
 
The application fee is payable by credit card through the online Teacher Information Management System (TIMS).  If you do not hold a credit card, you can select the payment type of "money order" in TIMS and send a money order made payable to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Personal checks are not accepted.
