Pennsylvania Asthma Action Plan 2006

The Pennsylvania Asthma Action Plan 2006 is a comprehensive state plan to reduce the burden of asthma in Pennsylvania developed by a consortium of over 20 asthma stakeholders from Pennsylvania .  The Plan lays out recommendations for action that can be used by local, regional and statewide programs and institutions in a coordinated effort to implement asthma interventions on local, regional and statewide basis.

2006 Pennsylvania Asthma Burden Report

The Pennsylvania Asthma Burden Report 2006 contains data on the burden of asthma in the Commonwealth.   This report illustrates the health burden, economic costs and prevalence of asthma in Pennsylvania .  Data on child and adult asthma prevalence, hospitalization and death related to asthma can be found in the Report.   Information in the Report will be of use in the planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions to improve the control and management of asthma and reduce hospitalizations and deaths associated with this chronic disease in Pennsylvania .
