Women, Infant and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) collects its participants’ breastfeeding incidence on an on-going basis and reports it every six months and annually. WIC data is determined by the number of active participants within that reporting period. WIC defines “incidence” as any breastfeeding that a WIC participant does.
