Program Title –  *Peer Mentoring Program 
                               *Daily Schedule for Planning a Summer Career Camp 
                               *Miss Tibbott’s Career Site

Goals/Objectives:  *An on-line mentoring program between 8th and 11th graders. Junior mentors will share successful study strategies and career information with their 8th grade mentees. *Career site is to provide helpful career information to students such as completing their first resume.

Brief Description of Program: The peer mentoring program is based on the goals of the College and Career Counseling Grant. All students involved in the mentoring program will communicate via email and abide by the rules set forth by the school counselors.

Results of Activity: 

  • Object of Peer Mentoring is to assist 8th grade students with on-line help in transitioning to 9th grade. 
  • Object of the career site is to provide needed career information for career planning and research.
  • Object of the Summer Career Camp is to expose 7th, 8th, 9th graders to explore a variety of career information.

Evaluation Tools & Procedures: School counselors will use paper and pencil evaluation and survey forms with students at the end of each program.
