hanging Abraham Lincoln

Includes the address of Edward Everett at the National Cemetery at Gettysburg on November 19, 1893, the dedicatory speech of President Lincoln, and the hanging of the Lincoln conspirators in Washington DC in 1865.

colliery Coal Mining In Pennsylvania
Read the reports of the Department of Mines,
1897-1903, 1904-1930, and a separate 1908 bituminous report which lists statistics on persons employed in mines, gross tons of coal produced, names, ages, and causes of fatal and non-fatal mining accidents, and more. Also read the report on the Twin Shaft mining disaster investigation, 1896, and the Dar Mine Relief Effort Report of 1907.

Originally digitized to celebrate the 250 th anniversary of the Battle of Fort Necessity.
Freedman Miscellany Collection
Items include the Problem of the Irish in America Speech, 1886; an 1838 speech by Thaddeus Stevens, Report of Friends Association of Philadelphia for the Aid and Elevation of the Freeman, 1866, and others.

The State Library of Pennsylvania's World War I Collection is part of the Access Pennsylvania Digital Repository. A collection of materials about World War I (1914-1918) from the State Library collection digitized in commemoration of the centennial of the Great War.
