The Pennsylvania Commission for Women
The mission of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women is to identify and advance the diverse needs and interests of Pennsylvania’s women and girls; to inform, educate and advocate for its constituents; and to provide opportunities to empower women and girls to reach their highest potential. The Commission’s work is focused on supporting Economic Development, Mentorship, and Civic Engagement opportunities for women and girls in Pennsylvania.
The Commission was formed in 2012 by an Executive Order of Governor Tom Corbett and serves as the Commonwealth’s advocate agency for women. The Commission is comprised of thirty diverse women from across the Commonwealth who are united in ensuring the success of women and girls.
