Consumers/Investors

The Department of Banking and Securities addresses thousands of questions and complaints from consumers and investors each year. Our professionally trained staff is available during business hours Monday through Friday to provide information and advice on a variety of financial issues. We also provide online updates about potential scams and enforcement actions taken by the department, as well as information brochures and pamphlets for distribution and display.

Pennsylvania consumers and investors can call 1-800-PA-BANKS (800-722-2657; out of state: 717-787-1854). Consumers can also submit a question or complaint online (below) while investors with questions about securities representatives can visit FINRA BrokerCheck.

Note: We are not an advocate for the consumer, investor or the regulated entity. We cannot provide legal advice or recommend a financial institution or licensee under our supervision.
