Governor's Regional Offices
The Governor’s Regional Directors serve as liaisons for Governor Rendell and his senior staff to a variety of local constituencies. They respond to local inquiries and intercede with state officials in all state agencies on behalf of members of the General Assembly and their staffs; elected and appointed officials in county and local government; local economic development organizations; local non-profit organizations; local community and neighborhood groups; the local academic community; private business concerns; and, of course, local citizens in the counties to which they are assigned. While advancing the policies and the initiatives of Governor Rendell they convene appropriate state and local officials on important regional issues. They also serve as referral sources to local officials and citizens while assuring responsiveness on the part of the Rendell administration to the needs and concerns of these local contacts.
