Adopt A Resident

Some of our residents don't receive regular visits from their family and friends or they have no living family members. You can make a difference in these residents lives by spending time with one or more of these people through the "Adopt-A-Resident" program.

The goal of this program is to establish relationships with these residents and become a friend who will visit for birthdays, during holidays, and other times throughout the year.

Initially, if you need suggestions for gifts, you can ask the volunteer coordinator’s assistance or the nursing staff. Once you have established a relationship with the resident, you will learn his/her likes, dislikes, needs etc.

It is a good idea to call the nursing station in advance to be sure that the resident will be there and is not going on a trip or visit elsewhere.

Please download and complete the adopt-a-resident form and return it to the Volunteer Coordinator either by mail or in person and a copy will be sent to you with the resident’s information.
