DGS Disaster Recovery Services Portal
The recent severe weather has left counties, municipalities and townships across the Commonwealth with a number of needs to be met, including repairs and replacement of property and equipment. The PA Department of General Services has programs in place that can assist you in your recovery efforts. The following page was put together for you to identify those programs as quickly as possible.
DGS Public Works Job Order Contracts (JOCs) Program
To take advantage of this program, you must be a COSTARS member. If you are not a COSTARS member, please visit the COSTARS Registration Website. It’s easy and it’s FREE!
Through this program, county and local government organizations can obtain the services of pre-qualified contractors for a catalog of pre-priced construction tasks for all divisions of construction. Visit www.EZIQC.com; enter member name, contact information and project description; and an EZIQC™ representative will contact you and walk you through the process. Please be aware DGS Public Works JOC Contracts will expire 12/31/2011, so all requested work must be completed by that date.
Disaster Recovery Purchasing from the Federal General Services Administration
Under the federal Disaster Recovery Purchasing Program, state and local government entities may purchase a variety of products and services from contracts awarded under GSA Federal Supply Schedules to facilitate recovery from a major disaster, terrorism, or nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attack.
Federal Surplus Property Program
Property is donated by the federal government and a minimal service fee is charged. The federal government has some compliance requirements regarding the property’s use, see: http://www.dgs.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/federal_surplus_property_program/1397/federal_surplus_property_program_regulations/256272
If you have not already filled out the application to receive federal surplus property, go here: http://www.dgs.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/federal_surplus_property_program/1397/federal_surplus_property_eligibility/297740 or use the attached form.
