2013-2014 Fiscal Year

The Governor's Budget for 2013-2014 includes $5,493,629,000 for the Basic Education Funding appropriation.  This is a $90,000,000 increase (1.67 percent) over the amount appropriated in 2012-2013.

The Basic Education Funding allocation for 2013-2014 is calculated as the sum of the following:

1.    Each school district will receive an amount equal to its 2012-2013 Basic Education Funding allocation pursuant to section 2502.51 of the School Code.

2.    For the Student-Focused supplement, each school district will receive $96.00 multiplied by its 2012-2013 adjusted average daily membership (ADM) multiplied by its 2013-2014 market value/personal income aid ratio (MV/PI AR).
