PHRC's new Mediation Program Pilot is a method of resolving employment discrimination complaints quickly, and avoiding lengthy investigations and hearings or court. Mediation enables parties to reach a voluntary agreement that satisfies both parties.
Mediation is now offered as an option for most people filing new employment discrimination complaints. There is no cost to participate in the program, and you do not need an attorney to participate.
The process is confidential, and if we do not successfully settle your case within 30 days* after the complaint is served on the employer, it will be investigated according to normal commission procedures.
