This is a competitive solicitation. Late submissions and materials not received in Egrants will not be considered.
Agencies eligible for participation:
The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) is now accepting applications from state, county or municipal forensic crime laboratories, county district attorneys, medical examiners and county coroners for funds to improve the quality, timeliness and credibility of forensic science services to the criminal justice system. The solicitation permits expenses related to automation and equipment, only. Funds to support these projects are to be made available through limited Paul Coverdell National Forensic Science Improvement Act (NSFIA) funds administered by PCCD, which must be fully expended no later than March 31, 2013. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis. PCCD expects to make a limited number of grant awards. It is planned that awards to successful applicants will be made in March 2012 for projects beginning April 1, 2012.
