Genealogy: Researching Military Records

Of great interest to genealogists are the service records and pension records of their ancestors who served in the American Military forces. While some of the records contain little information of genealogical value, others provide information and clues to other avenues of research.

Some of the military sites also provide regimental histories that are of great interest to genealogists and historians.
