Governor’s Green Government Council (GGGC)
The mission of the Governor's Green Government Council is to help state agencies lead the Commonwealth towards a goal of zero emissions to air, land, and water by having all employees routinely consider the environmental effects of their policies, practices, and daily actions at all levels of decision making.
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 
Mission to protect Pennsylvania’s air, land and water from pollution and provide for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment, working as partners with individuals, organizations, governments and business to prevent pollution and restore natural resources.
Pennsylvania DEP Recycling
The Pennsylvania DEP is the state agency largely responsible for administering Pennsylvania's environmental laws and regulations. Pennsylvania made recycling the law in July 1988 with Act 101, the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act, thus making Pennsylvania the largest state in the nation to require recycling.

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) 
Established on July 1, 1995, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is charged with maintaining and preserving the 117 state parks; managing the 2.1 million acres of state forest land; providing information on the state's ecological and geologic resources; and establishing community conservation partnerships with grants and technical assistance to benefit rivers, trails, greenways, local parks and recreation, regional heritage parks, open space and natural areas.

EPA leads the nation's environmental science, research, education and assessment efforts. The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency is to protect human health and the environment.
US EPA Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines Program (CPG)
The CPG program is part of EPA's continuing effort to promote the use of materials recovered from solid waste.

A key component of the CPG program is EPA's list of designated products and the accompanying recycled-content recommendations.
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), BioPreferred
BioPreferred is a Federal program that aims to increase the purchase and use of biobased products. Biobased products are made from biological or renewable agricultural materials like plant, animal, marine or forestry ingredients. Examples of biobased products for commercial, industrial or consumer use include: building materials, lubricants, bioplastics, and cleaning products.
