Serves as an intermediary between the Department of Corrections and General Assembly for legislative, policy, procedures, and constituent issues. Constituent issues may include inquiries or concerns regarding staff, inmates, inmate families, or the public at large. The office also assists the Secretary of Corrections, the Governor’s office and other legislative bodies through the legislative process with regards to legislation that would have an impact on correctional issues.
