The Bureau of Treatment Services (BTS) has three Divisions: Assessment, Classification & Interagency Relations, Treatment Programs and Psychological Services.
The bureau monitors policies, procedures and implementation of standardized and specialized offender treatment programs, drug and alcohol treatment programs, the State Intermediate Punishment (SIP) Program, psychological services, religious and volunteer services, pardons and commutation applications and offender classification and assessment.
The bureau develops, maintains and enhances relationships with both state and federal agencies regarding these areas. BTS assists the institutions through annual operational audits in the following areas: Pennsylvania Additive Classification Tool (PACT) Assessment, Alcohol and Other Drug Programs, Counseling & Specialized Programs, Psychological Services, as well as, Religion & Volunteer Services.
