PDE provides data on all school districts relating to home education and privately tutored students in Pennsylvania, including such information as the following:
- the number of privately tutored students,
- the number, by age and gender, of home education students,
- the number of home educated students that participate in extracurricular activities,
- the school districts that provide curricular material to homeschooled families, and
- the number of special education students (excluding gifted).
This information is available online and is submitted to PDE by school districts on the PDE form 4097, Home Education and Private Tutoring Report.
