Public Informational Hearing Instructions:

On Wednesday, November 12, the Pennsylvania Insurance Department will hold a public informational hearing on Highmark's proposed acquisition of Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The hearing will be held at the Hilton Scranton and Conference Center, Scranton, PA. There will be a day session beginning at 9 a.m. and an evening session beginning at 7 p.m.

Individuals who wish to attend, or attend and offer comments, are encouraged to pre-register using the online registration form. Those who pre-register will receive an advance copy of the agenda.

How to Submit a Public Comment - Individuals wishing to comment on the filing on the ground of public or private interest in the filing are invited to submit a written statement on the filing to the department. Comments received will be part of the public record regarding the filing and will be made available on the Insurance Department's website. Additionally, copies of the comments received will be forwarded to the applicant for appropriate response. The applicant's response will also be made available on the Insurance Department's website.
