One visit per week with a second visit permitted one week each month.  No more than two of the five visits may occur on a weekend or holiday.

All vending machines are equipped with card readers.  Visitors are no longer be permitted to purchase food and beverages with cash.  To make a purchase from the vending machines, you first need to purchase a reloadable cash card from the “cash to card” kiosk in the visitor processing area. There is a $1.25 cost for the card.  There is a $60 limit on the cards.

 

SCI Camp Hill is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.  Visitors can be refunded the balance on their card by mailing the card to:  CRH Catering, 1235 S. Harrisburg Street, Suite I, Harrisburg, PA  17113.

 

When mailing cards to CRH, visitors must include their name and address so CRH can send the refund to the visitor's correct address.

For inmate visitors wishing to use the Visiting Room vending machines, a “Cash to Card” machine will be located in the main lobby that will be used to dispense a vending card that can be “loaded” and used in any of the Visiting Room vending machines.  There will be a $1.25 one-time cost for each vending card.  The vending cards can be reloaded and reused indefinitely.  The “Cash to Card” machine will accept bill denominations of $1, $5, $10, or $20 and will have a maximum “reload” limit of $200.

 

When first obtaining a vending card, the visitor is required to insert $5 to cover the $1.25 card cost.  The remaining $3.75 will be loaded on the card.  Please be sure to bring your card each time you visit, as you will be required to purchase a new card if you do not have it with you.  Please note that LOST OR STOLEN CARDS WILL NOT BE REPLACED BY THE PA DOC OR CRH CATERING CO.

 

Access to products in the SCI-Houtzdale Visiting Room vending machines will be through the use of the vending card only.

Effective January 7, 2014, cash is no longer permitted beyond the institution lobby because the prison is now using a cashless vending system in the visiting room.

 

All visitors must purchase a vending card via the Revalue Station in the lobby prior to entering the visiting room in order to purchase items from the Visiting Room vending machines.

The initial fee is $2 per card.  This fee is deducted from the visitor’s first deposit.  There is no fee for future deposits on the same card.  Visitors use the same card to add money at any time without needing to purchase a new card.  The Revalue Station accepts cash, bank debit and credit cards.  The maximum value at one time on the card is $75.

For questions/issues involving the card, visitors should contact Bittner Vending (1120 Miller Picking Road, Davidsville, PA  15928).  Bittner Vending is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cards.

-Children’s play areas are available at most, if not all, state prisons.  The play rooms are for minor children, but the individual accompanying the child is responsible for the welfare and behavior of the child.  Children should never be left unattended in a play area.  Visitors are responsible for ensuring toys, games and videos are treated with care and are returned to their proper location.  Some play rooms are designated for minors under a certain age only – check with the visiting room officer.
