Jobs at L&I - How to Apply

Most of the jobs at L&I are filled in accordance with the State Civil Service Act. Individuals seeking Civil Service career opportunities at the Department of Labor & Industry must have PA Civil Service status based on prior Commonwealth employment or competitive Civil Service testing.

Current employees may also apply directly to vacancies through the JobNet. Information on bidding is included on our job postings and available at http://jobnet.scsc.state.pa.us.

 

Some jobs at L&I are not covered under the State Civil Service Act, and are considered Non-Civil Service. Those positions are filled through the Bureau of State Employment (BSE). Candidates for Non-Civil Service vacancies are referred by BSE for interviews based on the skills, experience, and education listed on their resumes.
