The Bureau of Laboratories offers several proficiency testing programs.

Division of Laboratory Improvement

The Laboratory Improvement Proficiency Testing page includes information on the Pennsylvania Limited Survey (PLS) program as well as links to other proficiency testing agencies. Please note that the Bureau of Laboratories is no longer accepting applications for enrollment in the PLS program and the program will not be offered in 2013. The page includes information useful to current participants, the results of past proficiency testing events, and links to the websites of other proficiency testing agencies.

Division of Chemistry and Toxicology

The Toxicology Approvals and Proficiency Testing Programs page includes information on how to obtain approval to perform the following tests in Pennsylvania and how to participate in the mandatory proficiency testing programs.
