The Learn and Serve America program provides service learning grants, technical assistance and training to students, teachers, school administrators and neighborhood agencies each year. Service learning is a teaching methodology by which students learn and develop through active participation in thoughtfully organized service that is based on classroom learning, and is conducted in and meets the needs of the school and/or local community.
The Bureau of Community and Student Services provides technical assistance across the Commonwealth in a variety of locations and ways, including workshops, conferences, networking meetings and inserving programming.
PDE collaborates with the Center for Schools and Communities (CSC) to deliver a wide variety of technical assistance activities at no cost to local schools and community groups.
