One of the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities oldest and most significant roles is that of regulator. The Commonwealth's Office of General Counsel assigns several full-time attorneys and professional staff to assist the Department with its duties.

The Office of Chief Counsel provides guidance to those under the Department's jurisdiction and represents the Department in administrative hearings and appeals. We also work closely with the PA Attorney General; federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies; and federal regulatory agencies as appropriate.
