Monthly News Releases

The monthly news releases contain an analysis of the current economic conditions for Pennsylvania, its 14 Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), 21 Micropolitan Statistical Areas (mSA), as well as 15 Small Labor Market Areas (LMA). Included is information on labor force, employment and unemployment statistics. Also provided in the MSA, mSA and LMA releases is a count of non-agricultural wage and salary jobs by industry. Information on the number of hours worked and pay earned in selected manufacturing industries is also included in the releases for selected MSAs. Click on the area below to view your required news release.

Beginning with the release of the January 2005 news releases, labor force and jobs data will be available using new geographic definitions for Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Areas. Click here for additional information on this conversion.
