Charter Schools

Charter Schools in Pennsylvania are considered Lea’s (Local Educational Entities) and are held to the same laws, policies and guidance’s that govern public schools in Pennsylvania.

The following information is to provide some guidance regarding the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and how this law applies to federal programs administered by the Division of Federal Programs.

No Child Left Behind is based on several main principles. The principles are accountability, highly qualified staff, parental choices, scientifically based instruction and state and local flexibility
