Non-Civil Service

The commonwealth is constantly looking for qualified individuals in a wide variety of fields throughout Pennsylvania.  Most jobs are full-time and offer competitive pay and an outstanding benefits package.  Part-time, temporary and seasonal positions are also available. 

Nearly one third of commonwealth jobs are non-civil service positions filled by the Bureau of State Employment.  Unlike civil service positions, there is generally no examination required and you do not have to be a Pennsylvania resident.
