The application period for the Pennsylvania Management Associate program is now closed.
We have received the maximum number of applications. Applicants must test by March 15, 2012, after which scoring will be completed and candidates will get their scores.
The Pennsylvania Management Associate (PMA) program allows you to participate in specialized training and gain valuable experience with multiple state agencies. Your 18-month training includes rotations in offices performing various government functions, classroom exercises and the opportunity to network with some of the commonwealth’s top managers.
Your four core rotational assignments will be in the following functional areas:
• Policy
• Budget
• Human Resources
• Enterprise management
Salary during the training year is $40,470.00, plus benefits. After the first year, successful associates are hired by a state agency and receive a salary increase while they complete an additional probationary six months of on-the-job training before being promoted to a permanent position. Applicants must complete a civil service application and pass a test. Contact the State Civil Service Commission, your graduate school placement office, or the PMA Program Director for more information.
The Civil Service test announcement will open January 25, 2012 and remain open until 250 applications are received or until February 18, 2012, whichever occurs first, after which the test announcement will be suspended.
