Workplace Safety - PENNSAFE

OSHA

Advancements in workplace safety under the PENNSAFE initiative are being realized throughout Pennsylvania. While PENNSAFE focuses primarily on workplace safety, members of joint worker-management safety committees have carried its message to their homes and their communities.

The PENNSAFE team is a cooperative effort providing training and outreach programs, on-site consultations and informational publications. Labor-management cooperation provides the key to the success of the PENNSAFE program. Throughout Pennsylvania, workers and management have joined forces to improve safety and reduce injuries. These cooperative efforts have served as the foundation for improved overall labor-management communication and cooperation. The Governor firmly believes increased labor-management cooperation is also the foundation of building Pennsylvania's strong economy and providing family-supporting jobs.

PENNSAFE offers speakers who provide on-site presentations on establishing and maintaining a joint workplace safety committee, safety committee certification, workers' compensation and labor-management cooperation. Other related topics include details of the PENNSAFE initiative, One Call procedures and general safety topics.

Speakers from the PENNSAFE team include department representatives, advisory board members and safety professionals throughout Pennsylvania. They are available to speak, free of charge, to groups of any size throughout Pennsylvania.
