The Capitol Police provides security to employees and visitors alike during demonstrations and other scheduled special events.
 
The Capitol Police responds to and monitors scheduled events, press conferences, rallies, and demonstrations at the Capitol Complex and other state properties within its jurisdiction.  These events require the assignment of a special detail to monitor the activities and to provide assistance and information.
