FLAG PROGRAM

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services has a program in which United States and/or Pennsylvania Flags are flown over the Capitol in honor of one of our citizens or organizations. Unfortunately, the Commonwealth cannot donate, sell, or distribute the flags.

The following companies have participated in the program, or you may purchase a flag at any other location:

If you would like to have a flag flown over the Capitol and a certificate authenticating that the flag was flown, please note the following procedure:

Flag(s) should be sent to:

along with a memo including the following information:

a) who the flag is being flown for
b) the date, if there is a specific date you wish the flag to be flown
c) occasion flag is be flown for (if applicable)
d) title or rank of individual flag is being flown for
e) any other information you deem necessary
f) date flag needs to be returned.

Once the flag is flown and returned, a certificate authenticating that the flag was flown over the Capitol, for the person on the date, will be produced.  The certificate is in color and is suitable for framing.
